12 weeks or the three months milestone

I was not even aware that there is a superstition or something like that about this. When I decided to keep it untold (not secret), the reasons were purely medical and practical. Chances of miscarriages are high during the first trimester ( or first three months), and I do not like people calling me or mailing to convey condolences if anything happened. I might have moved on, but still when some people call/mail, it could have depressed me all over. Secondly, I generally do not like sympathy from people. Also, some might unintentionally or intentionally hint my age and the diminishing possibilities in the future. Although I am aware of such info, sometimes when some people hint or imply such things, they might irritate me. So, I didn’t want to tell before I crossed the first trimester. But I leaked the news out at every possible opportunity! 🙂 It was to do with my big bump and my tired look and not walking fast, not travelling (did travel to Yarmouth once and then to Ely (just after 12weeks)!) etc and many more. 🙂
